Founder, Karen Cagan, has been working with youth of all ages for over thirty years. She has a vision for a world full of happy, compassionate, and vibrant people that believe in creating a world where everyone is able to live in peace. She makes her beliefs a reality through her programs. Karen has been active in social justice issues all her life, and passes on to staff and campers all the beliefs that define who she is and what she feels is important in the world. She has a passion for building community that ensures children and families of love and care. One of the main themes of Karen’s programs is that there is no violence, no hurting anyone’s person or feelings - all campers, staff and students shall always feel they are in a safe environment. Karen always makes sure the staff that are hired have the same value system she does, and know how to communicate with each other and with the campers, in a positive and encouraging manner. And - she knows how to have fun in the camp, with the staff and the campers alike!
